Planning Blog: Filming and Editing

 

This the first filming and editing blog of the final project. I have not begun actual filming but I have been looking at my story board and I have been able to visualize the entire two minutes perfectly. Although I have my storyboard completed, I've been having issues with it uploading. The first few story boards I've used were digital story boards, but I'm still familiar with the concept of uploading digital pictures to different platforms. While that has been one issue, another issue is going to be the props needed in my film. I do not have a toy MR-15 style rifle or handgun so I have to get those in order to film. I have to dress like some type of military personell. When it comes with that, I am trying to figure out how I am going to transit from a day time to night time scenary. I am going to work out those issues and begin working on when exactly I will begin filming. My anticipated first day filming is sceduled for the 8th of March which gives me a little bit of time to gather up my stuff.


My location in mind has not changed, except I am thinking of having different scenaries of me running, which that be the street behind my house. Possibly if I want more filming time I may go to my intersecting roads. One issue would however be who will film me running? My vision requires resources that I don't know if I would be able to obtain but it's fine because I will work something out. For right now, I am guessing my sister would be my main camera man. Because of the lack of financial support, I will have to use my phone that is already accessable to me to film. Other than that I plan on using a green screen which is something I have not used since I  was 12. I think that is going to be an issue for me to be filming and editing sessions. 


So as you can see, I am going to have a lot of tech issue and production issues. My goal is to work them out with my hard work and dedication. As always I will use online softwares to link the video to people as a mean of 'promotions" After coming up with effective solutions to my small fixable issues, I will start the Filming and Editing II.

Production blog

 As I begin to advance in my filming processes, I discovered that filming is actually fun. I took two days off to film and to edit. so now I am basically done with the film I am relieved. Although my boss was mad, and I risk getting fired but my Cambridge diploma is worth more to me. What I have filmed... I have filmed primarily based on the storyboard. I am extremely proud that I have started filming and I am ready to wrap up the final project. I have faced many many challenges, from getting the proper props, to the financial aspect to my new job and no time. In my class, Media Studies, I have a very bad grade because I have not been blogging on time because I genuinely do not have any time anymore. I wake up at 5 in the morning, go to school until 3, then go to work right after school until 11. So I have 1 hour to film and I am not only exhausted but it's usually too late to be filming.  On my day off, I decided to start filming the first 2 scenes, but it was only seconds long.

Believers Music Video Editing Blog

I began editing my music video on December the 1st. This date was anticipated a lot earlier, however I have procrastinated and left time to catch me. Although I had procrastinated at the end of the day I know I would get the project done on time. I am anticipating to have my project finalized by the end of the week of the 7th. Now what have I discovered, learned, and done differently during this project? During the editing process I came a long way to where I am. I faced lots of issues and I knew I could get them fixed by trouble shooting them. During my editing process A lot of scenes were cut out and/or redone and did not make my final product. I did learn that, that’s ok to make mistakes and get them fixed. I had not yet filmed my flashback scene so I just got that done while I was editing.  Equipment  I used a 2018 IPhone XR for all the filming. ClipChamp was the main software that I used because it was free. IMovie however later I did not transport those cuts to my final product.
