Title research: Star Wars (1977)

  - What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? After a thunderous Twentieth Century Fox fanfare and Lucasfilm logo, the movie begins with a phrase suitable for any tale of knights, princesses, and evil wizards: ”A long time ago…” The text is tinted light blue in order to make the subsequent main title reveal all the more dramatic. Fade out and let the movie begin. 

 - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The font and color of the charactcers are prioritized in the opening of the movie. The bright yellow font is present throughout the entirety of the 1 minute and 58 seconds. 

 - What connotations do these images carry? Because of the cohesion of the font, it becomes incorporated into the full movie. The actual words are narrated and creates an introuduction.

 - What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? The films target audience are all people that likes sci-fi. During the time of the film sci-fi movies and shows were a lot more relevent and more prominent in the film idustry. Therefore the audience may be different then modern day. In the time, everyone, esspecially people that watched sci-fi movies were interested in the new movie.  

 - How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. The intro is very focused on 2 different camera angles. The first one is the bold-outline bright yellow words reading "star wars", and the readinnf of th letters going through the screen from bottom to up.
